Comments: Focal structural anomalies are present in L3 and L4. A central density is noted within the third lumbar vertebra. L4 is excluded for focal structural anomalies and a T-score discrepancy. Plain radiographs confirm a density within the 3rd vertebral body in this patient who had known breast cancer. These studies were the first to demonstrate that breast cancer had metastasized to bone.
