Comments: Focal structural anomalies are present in all lumbar vertebrae. Radiographs suggest compression fractures at L1, L3 and L4. The left femoral neck T-score is -2.6 and the 33% radius T-score is -5.7. We suggest excluding the entire lumbar spine from the DXA report because a diagnosis of severe osteoporosis can be made on the basis of hip BMD and compression fractures observed on spine images.
